How do we teach English?
DILO Philosophy
A language is part of a culture.
That’s why we don’t just want our students to be able to speak English, but to be like an English speaker – linguistically and culturally rich.
How do we work at DILO?
Each year we explore an English-speaking country so that our students not only learn a language, but also learn how the speakers of that language think, live and thus become citizens of the world.
The 3 key points of our methodology
– The student as an active part of the learning process. Stimulating the student’s autonomy.
– Language as a tool for doing things. Therefore, learning by doing.
– Language as a means of communication with emphasis on oral expression.
